60th Annual Wine and Food Tasting: Summer may have already bid adieu, but this doesn’t mean the fun is over. There are still a lot of activities to be enjoyed, especially in San Benito County, and they are absolutely perfect this nippy fall.
If you’re looking for a fantastic way to celebrate the changing colors of the season, on September 10, 2016, consider the 60th Annual Wine and Food Tasting at the Gabilan Chapter Kinship Center. From 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., you can enjoy delectable dishes and some of the finest wines the region is known for.
This grand social event: the 60th Annual Wine and Food Tasting
will be held outdoors so the wonderful natural scenery of this little corner of the Sunshine State can serve as a fine backdrop as you leisurely sip wine and sample the delightful fare from 30 of the most celebrated restaurants in the area. This year, there are 24 wineries participating, so the wine tasting will most certainly be extra special; get ready for a whole lot of sipping, rolling in your mouth, and spitting if you want to sample as many wines as you can. Better get your wallet ready, too, because you may just find the wine that perfectly satisfies your palate – it’s good to buy a bottle or two for your future enjoyment.
But don’t think of the 60th Annual Wine and Food Tasting as merely one big party or a mere opportunity for socialization and yummy eats and drinks because this is all for a great cause. The proceeds of the event will go to the Kinship Center’s mission to create and support a safe, permanent home for children coming from abuse, neglect or abandonment.
When you take part in this event, you’re actually doing your part in alleviating the harsh conditions that a lot of young people are living with. What can be better than having fun, meeting new people, celebrating life, and helping those in need all at the same time?
“This fall, make the time you spend on recreation more meaningful.”
The 60th Annual Wine and Food Tasting is one event that will allow you to do so. Bring your parents, your spouse and friends; stay close to the event venue all weekend (there are accommodations nearby, such as the incredibly charming, historical Joshua Inn) and take part in this splendid fund-raising activity that aims to restore hope to young ones experiencing challenging circumstances.
